Do you remember that “Clap-on~! Clap-off~!” commercial? I’m sure everyone does, if you’re old enough to remember. I still remember that commercial because it was so corny, but hey~ it was very catchy and it became one of the most popular commercials of all time. Well if the sound of a clap can control the function of your light switch, of course now with better technology there’s a better device. A company called Aeon Flux came out with the VoiSwitch. A voice activated device that turns on and off your light throughout your house. The VoiSwitch has a name, Naraeya, basically the protocol to give commands. For example, “Naraeya, turn off the light on the front porch,” “Naraeya, turn on the light in master bedroom.”
The device itself is white in color, sleek in design, and aesthetically very pleasing to put on any wall. It has three microphones that can pick up sound with ease and has great voice recognition. Other than just turning on and off the light you can put a timer on any light fixture, kind of like a sleep timer on your TV. You set the amount of time you want the light to be turned on and then when the time is up it shuts off the light. You can even ask for the time, “Naraeya, what time is it?” and it will tell you exactly what time it is.
You can pretend like you have a smart house, command or ask the VoiSwitch and Naraeya will follow through. This is something that you can see in an awesome bachelor pad!
